I agree in most aspects. I think the figures are outrageous - I know that cities are more expensive, but $750 for board? Claiming that less than that is a utopia situation? Hardly. It's like saying that no one should drive cars, because Ferarri's cost six figures.

So I think that it's a good premise - think before you buy - but it puts too heavy an emphasis on the 'you just can't afford it' front. What if someone could afford it? Would it make impulse buying a horse (or cat, or dog) an okay concept? Hardly. Millionaires can - and have been - neglectful, terrible owners.

I think it kind of strives into fear mongering, and it does kind of have the "shoot, Im going to miss my deadline, -hacks up a hairball and calls it an article- kind of feel to it.
